National Theatre Live is an exciting initiative to broadcast live performances of plays to cinemas worldwide; launched in June 2009 over 150,000 people saw the pilot season on 320 cinema screens in 22 countries. From South Africa to Australia, across the US and Canada and throughout the UK and Europe, National Theatre Live continues to grow as it enters its second season.

In January 2011, during FELA!’s engagement at London’s National Theatre, the production will be filmed live in high definition and broadcast via satellite to cinema screens around the world.
